A Thank You & Goodbye

The research has been done, poster presentations have 

been completed, research papers have been written and so this S-STEM programs comes to an end.  This semester is officially over and along the way I have met some supremely smart BIOLOGY driven students and staph that I’ve come to know and now consider friends.  This program was both challenging and rewarding and I end the semester with a new set of skill in lab research techniques and a mindset of a research scientist.  This program has helped mold my interest and love of biology, it has reinforced that biology research is what I should be studying and practicing.  Thank you to the staff at Phoenix College S-STEM Program for the opportunity to participate in this program your help and guidance this semester has been invaluable.

Poster Presentation at Metro Tech

Today was poster presentation day at Metro Tech!  I have to say the experience turned out to be fun. My fellow S-STEM students were there with me, we all gave each other moral support and we did the best we could in explaining to all the young minds gathering in front of our research posters what we have been working on in the lab this semester.  Some student stood in front of my poster listened to my research explanation and moved right along to next poster and some actually had questions.  This was an interesting and positive experience, it gave me the opportunity to explain out loud to another human being what my research was all about and everything turned out ok.  Presentation ✔ next project in line, research paper coming soon.
